GLENDALE, Ariz. – The Glendale Parks and Recreation Department celebrated Glendale’s citrus history and the flavors of citrus during its newest event, Citrus Zestival, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 24 at the Sahuaro Ranch Park Historic Area, 59th Avenue and Mountain View Road.

Riddhikaa Bali of Phoenix enjoys card making and citrus stamping, some of the many craft projects offered during the event.

Attendees of the Citrus Zestival enjoyed cooking demonstrations, exhibits, tours and entertainment.

Sahuaro Ranch Park Historic Area has its own citrus groves where attendees will be also allowed to pick fruit to take home. Armed with picking sticks people went into the groves to stock their parties with loads of fresh citrus.
