from the 2006 Davey
Awards Competition. The award was given for CouryGraph Productions
video Catlin Court Historic Home Tour Home #13, which was narrated
by homeowner Tim Quinn.
Tim Quinn and Lori Green have been a significant and driving
influence in the improvement of Catlin Court over the past few
years. They moved to Catlin Court in 2002 and worked to restore
their historic home gaining the admiration of neighbors and even
national recognition through HGTV filming of her home.
In addition, Green and Quinn brought the entire neighborhood
together to accomplish projects ranging from clean-up drives to
obtaining grants for restoration of properties. In addition Green
was the recipient of the Ruth Bryne Historic Perseveration award for
her work in the Catlin Court Historic District community.
Commenting on CouryGraph Productions award, Tim Quinn said,
"Your video profile on the Home Tour has proved invaluable as a
tool in the Catlin Court District's efforts to bring knowledge of
our neighborhood to a broader segment of the public. I am
appreciative of your skills in capturing the very essence of my
home."
Lori Green continued, "You did a beautiful job on capturing the
experience. The music really sets the stage. You made my house look
absolutely charming."
Catlin Court, which began in 1914, was one of the earliest,
fashionable neighborhoods in the township of Glendale. Many of the
former mayors, wealthy merchants, doctors, reverends, builders and
educators lived in these homes. Through the work of Quinn and Green,
and other proud homeowners, this neighborhood is quickly becoming a
sought after address once again.
"It is honor to receive a highly respected Davey Award for work
in publicizing events that take place in the city of Glendale,"
said Ed Sharpe, Director for CouryGraph Productions and its
subsidiaries. "This national award highlights the high
standards of excellence we wish to achieve. In addition, it is our
wish to provide our viewer-ship with information they can trust and
enjoy.
"Our office is in the commercial section of Catlin Court
Historic District and seeing the residents taking such active steps
to revitalize this area is amazing!" Sharpe stated.
The 2nd Annual Davey Awards were sponsored by The Creative Group,
the leading creative professional staffing company in the world,
ADWEEK magazine, FSB (Fortune Small Business magazine) and OnRequest.
The Davey Awards exclusively honor the "Davids" of
creativity, the finest small firms, agencies and companies in the
world. David defeated the giant Goliath with a big idea and a little
rock - the sort of thing small firms do each year. The annual
International Davey Awards honors the achievements of the
"Creative Davids" who derive their strength from big
ideas, rather than big budgets. The Davey Awards is the leading
awards competition specifically for smaller firms, where firms
compete with their peers to win the recognition they deserve.
In winning a Davey, CouryGraph Productions joins the ranks of other
high-profile winners of this most sought-after award. "The
incredible quality and growth of entries again proves that creative
excellence, fresh ideas and great conceptual execution is a hallmark
of the best small agencies and firms" noted Linda Day, a
director of the IAVA. She added, "On behalf of the entire
Academy, we are honored to have judged the 2nd Annual Davey Awards
and thrilled to recognize such a diverse and accomplished pool of
creative work."
The Davey Awards is judged and overseen by the International Academy
of the Visual Arts (IAVA), a 200+ member organization of leading
professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts dedicated
to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and
interactive media.
This award, among the numerous Telly, Aegis, Accolade, Marcom,
Berkeley Film festival awards and being an official selection for he
New York Independent Film and Video Festival, herald the end of a
productive and well recognized year of 2006 for CouryGraph
Productions. To see CouryGraph Productions news and video
