OFFICER OF THE YEAR RECIPIENT IS Officer John Davidge ("DAV-ige")
Officer
JOHN Davidge IS NAMED GLENDALE POLICE DEPARTMENTS OFFICER OF THE
YEAR FOR HIS demonstrated EXCELLENCE, INITITIVE and DEDICATION.
aS
A PATROL OFFICER ASSIGNED TO THE gATEWAY DIVISION, OFFICER DAVIDGE
IS KNOWN FOR CONSISTENTLY TAKING THAT "EXTRA STEP" TO
FUTHER AN INVESTIGATION. HE SHARES INFORMATION FREELY WITH HIS
FELLOW OFFICERS AND DETECTIVES, IMPROVING THE LIKELYHOOD OF
IDENTIFICATION AND APPREHENSION OF CRIMINALS.
HE
RELENTLESSLY TRACKS LEADS FOR VIOLENT CRIMINAL SUSPECTS, UTILIZING
ANY AND ALL TOOLS AVAILABLE. HIS USE OF TECHNOLOGY, INCLUDING
SOCIAL MEDIA, VIDEO, AND POLICE DATABASES IS REMARKABLE. JUST AS
NOTABLE IS HIS EAGERNESS TO TEACH HIS METHODS TO OTHER OFFICERS SO
THEY CAN SOLVE THEIR CASES. HIS ULTIMATE GOAL IS TO SOLVE CASES TO
PROVIDE CLOSURE TO VICTIMS, AND TO ARREST CRIMINALS SO THEY CAN BE
HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS.
OFFICER
DAVIDGE ARRIVES EARLY FOR WORK, AND REGULARLY STOPS BY TO MEET
WITH DETECTIVES BEFORE GOING HOME AFTER HIS SHIFT. HE HAS BEEN
NOMINATED AS GATEWAY OFFICER OF THE MONTH ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS,
AND RECEIVED THE RECOGNITION IN OCTOBER FOR HIS WORK IDENTIFYING A
SEXUAL ASSAULT SUSPECT and IDENTIFYING SUSPECTS FROM A TRIPLE
SHOOTING AS WELL AS DEVELOPING INFORMATION LEADING TO THEIR
ARREST.

HIS EXCEPTIONAL WORK PERFORMANCE, EXTRAORDINARY DEDICATION AND
TIRELESS EFFORTS TO MAKE GLENDALE SAFE, officer dAVIDGE IS THE

GEORGE ARNOLD
DETECTIVE
ARNOLD CONSISTENTLY EXCEEDS THE EXPECTATIONS OF AN INVESTIGATOR
WITHIN THE CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS DIVISION. AS A DETECTIVE
ASSIGNED TO THE FAMILY VIOLENCE UNIT, DETECTIVE ARNOLD ROUTINELY
ARRIVES EARLY AND STAYS LATE TO ENSURE HIS CASES AND MORE
IMPORTANTLY HIS VICTIMS RECEIVE THE BEST SERVICE POSSIBLE.
DURING
2013, DETECTIVE ARNOLD PERSONALLY ARRESTED 30 DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
SUSPECTS AND SUBMITTED 137 CASES FOR PROSECUTION.
DETECTIVE
ARNOLD IS ALSO A TEAM PLAYER WHO REGULARLY ASSISTS FELLOW
DETECTIVES INSIDE AND OUTSIDE HIS UNIT WITH SEARCH WARRANTS,
CONTACTS AND ARRESTS MAKING HIM AN INVALUABLE MEMBER OF THE FAMILY
VIOLENCE UNIT.
DETECTIVE
ARNOLD IS A DEDICATED AND EXPERIENCED MEMBER OF THE CRIMINAL
INVESTIGATIONS DIVISION. HIS COMPASSION FOR VICTIMS IN OUR
COMMUNITY AND COMMITMENT TO INVESTIGATIVE WORK IS BEYOND
EXEMPLARY.
