company chairmen, CEOs and senior executives live from Arizona to
ring The Closing Bell(R), Friday, February 1, 2008.
The Closing Bell
signifies the close of trading on the NYSE, and will mark the
kick-off of Arizona hosting Super Bowl XLII weekend. 'NYSE Euronext
is proud to kick-off Super Bowl weekend with the ringing of the NYSE
Closing Bell from Arizona,' said NYSE Euronext CEO Duncan L.
Niederauer. 'This is a great opportunity to showcase our many listed
companies from the region, including Avnet Inc., whose CEO, Roy
Vallee, helped make this unique event possible.' 'Bringing together
two of the most famous events in the world -- ringing the NYSE bell
and the NFL's Super Bowl -- is exciting for our great state of
Arizona. It's an honor to ring the bell on our turf for the state's

and Avnet's employees,' said Mr. Vallee. The Closing Bell(R) will
ring at 2 p.m. MT / 4 p.m. ET.

Bar-B-Q Lunch for Super Bowl Make-a-Wish Children
Friday, February 1, 2008. 12:30 pm to 2:15 pm (Arizona Time)
GLENDALE,
Ariz. – Glendale Firefighters
were honored to host several Super Bowl Make-A-Wish children and
their siblings for a special lunch.
The
event took place at the public safety exterior compound, just north
of the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale. Children had an
opportunity to view and sit in the latest Glendale Fire Department
trucks, including the “Bronto” Ladder Truck.
Children
had the opportunity to squirt water from fire engines and take a
ride in the “Bronto” Ladder basket. Search and Rescue dogs were
also s on-site. Glendale firefighters will allow these brave kids to
try on their fire protective equipment and experience what it would
be like to be a firefighter.
